Wow! Another Referee accolade . . . New May 28 - Andrew Hoffman, you're the latest referee to earn a great review from the coaches of the teams you refereed in the U10 program. They were very impressed with your professionalism and how good you were with the kids. Thanks for making us proud!
May 15 -Tessia Williams - congrats on your professional job as a referee. EMSA sent us a note that one of their Edmonton coaches wrote on his game sheet what a professional job you did the other night and how impressed he was with your performance. Well done!
May 11 - Hey Cole . . . awesome job!
Cole is a 1st year ref, just finished the junior ref program and has his first accolade from a U10 Coach. They said - great job, friendly, and enthusiastic. Thanks Cole. Keep up the good work.
~These referees will have their name in a special draw at the end of the season.
Accolades also to U10 Development team coaches. Thanks for being so helpful and supportive. These new refs were very nervous. We had 2 phone calls from referee parents who couldn't say enough good things about how much your support helped their kids feel better about being a referee right off the bat. Well done coaches!

GM Making Dreams PossibleSASA would like to thank GM for their generous sponsorship to assist with coach training this year! With their help we have 37 newly trained coaches making a difference in our program! Kudos to our dedicated coaches for seeking out the knowledge to offer the best coaching skills possible to our program athletes.
Referee Liasion ProgramEvery year we train young referees, send them out to their first games, then never see many of them again - largely due to the abuse they sometimes take for making a mistake. First time on the job? Of course they'll make mistakes. Will they get better? Absolutely. Are we there to help them? We can't be everywhere at all times, but the answer is yes. We have a great asset at SASA, Ken Kovacs, Ricky Haxby, and a number of other senior refs in St. Albert work with these young start up refs during tournaments and occasionally on an individual basis as time permits, but we need your help.
SASA has a Referee Liaison Program in effect for all games. Details will be posted shortly under the Coaches area - we ask that all parents and coaches take this program to heart. Please help us by being a part of the solution - don't be the person in this video -

Did you know . . .
- SASA has the greatest volunteers!
A huge congratulations goes out to Greg MacIntosh our Impact Director and Rita Koch our Equipment Director. Their dedication and countless hours put in on endless subcommittees helping with soccer in St. Albert earned them a place in the top 5 for the City of St. Albert Volunteer of the Year award and they were selected as winners for best Sports Volunteers in the area! SASA is lucky to have Greg, Rita, and many more dedicated members helping on our Board of Directors. On behalf of all members of SASA - thanks for everything you do. Another long time member and also the founder of SASA, Dieter Knobloch, won this same award in 2000. Dieter continue to volunteer on SASA's B.O.D. to this day.
March 23, 2009 Tori Martyn, Brittany Kindzierki, Robyn Yuzdepski, Tara Telford, and Kirsten Shapka, former SASA Impact Players, were playing or are playing in the National Training Centre Prairies program which is the feeder system for Team Canada. Wow!
Kirsten Shapka is currently attending the University of Hawaii & Tara Telford is attending Memphis University - both through scholarships. Well done ladies! Kirsten's Dad, Brian is also coaching one of our Sr Ladies Impact Teams!
