Dieter Knobloch (Left)It is with great sadness we share in the loss of Dieter Knobloch, one of our founding members, and a dedicated SASA volunteer for over 30 years. Dieter has contributed to soccer in St. Albert in so many ways. He was the driving force behind construction of the SASA Clubhouse, helped in varying capacities on the Board of Directors, was SASA's President more than once, and most recently has been our Facility Director as well as a referee for youth, adult, and high school soccer games and the Head Coach of his pride and joy - the Impact Rangers Men's Premier Team. Dieter will be sorely missed by all of us with his endless contributions and dedication to our club remembered and treasured for many years to come.
A celebration of Dieter's life was held at the St. Albert Alliance Chruch with an open house at SASA Clubhouse after.

NEW in 2010 - Equipment Swap!
Do you have old player equipment laying around that's too small or no longer needed?
Join us in helping young families in St. Albert keep costs down this season - bring in your gently used/clean soccer cleats, shin pads, socks, shorts, balls, or team equipment to SASA - there is a drop box outside the front door so items can be left at any time. During registration - this equipment will be provided to families as needed during the following season's registration dates at SASA.
GM Making Dreams Possible
SASA would once againe like to thank GM for their generous sponsorship to assist with coach training this year! With their help we are going to have 31 more newly trained coaches making a difference in our program! Kudos to our dedicated coaches for seeking out the knowledge to offer the best coaching skills possible to our program athletes.
2009-2010 Indoor Mini Fest A huge thank you goes out to the City of St. Albert for their major support of this year's event. In addition we would like to thank Nutrilite Active Start Soccer Fests presented by BMO, for the extra goodies and certificates to hand out, and Tim Hortons for their continued support and yummy timbits for all! |

Did you know . . . The City of St. Albert awarded us the FCSS Grant in 2009 so we could offer the Respect in Sport program to all of our coaches. Sheldon Kennedy, the hockey player, started this program to help associations train their coaches and mentors for youth players. It is a terrific on-line tool that we know will help coaches to have a postivie influence on players and referees. Thank-you City of St. Albert - without your support we could not offer this program. |
