WOW - Way to go Ethan Delhez, and honorable mention also goes out to Jordan Thom who made it to the final tryout weekend for the Danone Nations Cup Western Team too! Ethan was successful in being selected to the Western Canadian Danone Nations Cup Team. Both his and Jordan's jouney to get to this point was no small feat. Tryouts for this team have been on-going in all Western Provinces for over a year now with each tryout becoming that much tougher as players are cut along the way. Ethan & Jordan - we are so proud of you and your accomplishment making it to that final weekend and Ethan we look forward to cheering for you in the game that determines which team from Canada advances. Want to follow Ethan & and the Western Canadian Danone Nations Cup Team too? We will post links to info and any on-line coverage as it becomes available. The team will be attending training in Toronto July 11-13 and then squaring off against the Eastern Team on July 14th to see who will represent Canada in Warsaw, Poland on Sept 7-9, 2012.

Referee Liaison Program Every year we train young referees, send them out to their first games, then never see many of them again - largely due to the abuse they sometimes take for making a mistake. First time on the job? Of course they'll make mistakes. Will they get better? Absolutely. Are we there to help them? We can't be everywhere at all times, but the answer is yes. We have a great asset at SASA, Ken Kovacs and a number of other senior refs in St. Albert work with these young start up refs during tournaments, and during league games as time permits, but we need your help. SASA has a Referee Liaison Program in effect for all games. Details are posted in the Coaches area - we ask that all parents and coaches take this program to heart. Please help us by being a part of the solution.
