City Wide (2014 - 2007)

Our Citywide Soccer Program is designed for players age U13 to U19 who want to enjoy soccer in a fun, positive, and environment. All games are played within St. Albert, Edmonton and the surrounding areas.

Teams are made by birth year, and will play in the EMSA Citywide Program.

Additional registration in EMSA's portal is required.

The Citywide program focuses on player development, fun, and participation, rather than competition or results.

The program prioritizes enjoyment, confidence, and creativity, helping players build a lifelong appreciation for soccer.

Players learn how to work together, respect teammates and opponents, and demonstrate positive behavior on and off the field.

Season runs May 1st to end of June. City finals are the first week of July.

Goalkeeper Training

Tournaments

We encourage all our teams to partiscipate in various tournaments.

All teams requesting to enter a tournament must have club approval, prior to enterting.

If your team is traveling out of province/country, additional approval and fees are required.

Impact Adult Programs

As a next step, players who turn 16, have the opportunity to further challenge themselves by playing as a Trialist on one of our Adult Impact teams who participate in EDSA / AMSL and League1AB.

We also provide an opportunity for players who have finished their youth careers in our club, to tryout for our Adult Impact teams or participate in one of SASA's many adult programs. For more information on our adult programs, click here.

St. Albert Soccer Hardship Fund

St. Albert Soccer has set up a Hardship Fund that is financed by the generosity of its members. Each season, registrants are asked if they would like to contribute to the Hardship Fund to assist families that may require some financial assistance. The Hardship Fund assists 60 - 70 families by subsidizing $6000 - $7000.00/year to keep children playing soccer in our community.

Purpose -To allow every player, age 18 and under, the opportunity to participate in recreational or competitive soccer regardless of household financial conditions. The SASA Hardship Fund was developed to lower the cost of recreational opportunities for children whose families have demonstrated financial needs by applying for either KidSport &/ the Rotary Club.

Please contact Diane Bejcar at the SASA office to discuss the process of applying for funding.
